In October 2017, Philippines Department of Transport (DOTr) issued a tender for “Expansion of the existing depot at Baclaran and construction of a new satellite depot at Zapote for LRT Line 1”.

Hitachi Plant Construction Limited (HPC) decided to tender for the above contract and requested CCT / E-Consult to submit a proposal for Systems Assurance services to comply with the contract Technical Requirements for RAM, Safety and EMC.

In the May 2019, HPC was awarded a subcontract by DOTr main contractor for the works, Shimizu and HPC appointed CCT as Systems Assurance Consultant in June 2019.

The scope of the HPC contract is to conduct RAM, Safety and EMC analysis of major items of depot equipments, listed below:

• Automatic Train Wash Plant;
• Bogie Wash Booth;
• Bogie Turn Tables;
• Overhead Cranes;
• Jib Cranes;
• Wheel Lathe;
• Car Lifting Jacks;
• Table Lifters;
• Maintenance Wagons; and
• Rail Profile Grinding Vehicle.

The Project is currently in the Final Design Stage, due to be submitted to the Engineer for approval in July 2020.

Completion and hand-over of equipment to the Depot Operator is scheduled for October 2023
